Description: ‘Til now, fish oil capsules were all pretty much the same. Natural Factors, has introduced a salmon oil derived from wild Alaskan salmon. There has never been a pure salmon oil - until now. Most ‘salmon oil’ capsules include more than just salmon. To achieve high ratios of EPA to DHA commercially available salmon oil capsules are pumped with other fish oils. In the wild, salmon swimming in cold Atlantic or Pacific waters contain only 7 to 8 percent EPA and DHA. Natural Factors Wild Alaska Salmon Oil capsules are pure salmon oil, with the fatty acid ratio found in free-swimming salmon. Most of the commercially available fish oil comes from farmed salmon. To make them grow as well as their wild cousins and to prevent disease in their crowded quarters, farmed salmon are given hormones and antibiotics. Their convenient, pelleted food is made from animal and fish by-products instead of live plankton, krill and algae that wild fish dine on. This affects the quality of those essential Omega-3 fatty acids we need for health. Wild fish, swimming in the deep, pristine Alaskan waters will contain high quality Omega-3 fatty acids, with no antibiotic or hormone residues. Fish oils are loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids. Benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids are found in fish oil for the heart and circulatory system. Although fish oil had no effect on people with normal blood pressure, it had significant effect on those who were hypertensive. There is intriguing evidence that the fatty acids found in fish oil may benefit rheumatoid arthritis.
